The Athletics Unit Hosts Sports Challenges to Welcome and Engage New Students

The Athletics Unit at the Office of Student Life organized special sports challenges for new male and female students on September 3 and 4, 2024. These challenges welcomed students and introduced them to the process of joining the university’s sports teams. The aim was to motivate participation in sports and improve physical fitness. Additionally, performance tests were conducted to assess fitness levels and provide expert guidance for enhancing performance across various sports. For female students, a variety of activities were organized, including squat challenges, wall sits, and plank exercises to improve body balance, as well as games like badminton, basketball, jump rope, and tug-of-war. These activities were designed to foster competition and teamwork among the female participants.

For male students, similar challenges were held, with the addition of arm-wrestling competitions, which added another layer of physical challenge. These activities gave the students the chance to test their strength and engage with their new peers in a fun and exciting sports environment.

This event demonstrates the Athletics Unit’s commitment to creating a motivating sports environment, encouraging new students to engage in sports, develop physical skills, and join the university’s sports teams, fostering team spirit and active participation in university life.
