Speech Title: Variable-order fractional calculus: from old to new approaches.
Roberto Garrappa is Associate Professor of Numerical Analysis at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Bari (Italy). His scientific activity is mainly focused on numerical methods for fractional differential equations and for the computation of special functions in fractional calculus. He is author of about 70 papers, and he is member of the editorial board of several international scientific journals. He is the author of several Matlab codes (available on the Mathworks website) for solving different types of fractional-order problems and for evaluating the Mittag-Leffler function with scalar and matrix arguments.
