Dr. Muhammad Umer Hameed Shah earned his BE and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan, in 2005 and 2012, respectively. He completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Pusan National University (PNU), South Korea, in 2018. Dr. Shah has held academic positions at several prestigious institutions, including a Lecturer position at NUST, as well as postdoctoral roles at PNU, Texas A&M University at Qatar, and Khalifa University in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Ajman University, UAE. His research interests focus on the dynamics and control of underactuated systems, encompassing a wide range of topics such as hybrid ODE-PDE systems, cranes, vehicle suspension systems, underwater vehicle-manipulator systems, marine risers, compliant manipulators, and tactile sensors.
