Dr. Khalid Ghuzlan is a distinguished academic and researcher with extensive experience in transportation engineering and pavement materials. He earned his degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2001. Following his graduation, Dr. Ghuzlan served as a Research Scientist at the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in the Division of Research and Innovation from 2001 to 2008. Since 2008, he has held the position of Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at Jordan University of Science and Technology. In 2018, he joined Ajman University, where he established and currently leads the Civil Engineering Department. Dr. Ghuzlan’s research interests focus on transportation engineering, pavement engineering, and the behavior of materials. He has published numerous research papers in prestigious international journals and has supervised many graduate students in their thesis work.
