Dr. Amr Nassr earned his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Assiut University, Egypt, in 2004. He went on to complete his M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. in Structural Engineering at McMaster University, Canada, in 2008 and 2012, respectively. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Ajman University. His research interests focus on structural health monitoring and the resiliency of critical infrastructure systems exposed to multiple hazards. Dr. Nassr is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the Canadian Society of Civil Engineers (CSCE). He is also a former NSERC and JSPS fellow and has received numerous accolades, such as the Queen Elizabeth II Award in Science and Technology and the International Excellence Award.
