Mohamed Deriche received his Engineer’s degree from the National Polytechnic School of Algeria, then the MSc & PhD degrees from University of Minnesota, USA. He joined QUT, Australia, in 1994. In 2001, he joined King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, KSA, where he led the DSP Group. In 2021, he joined Ajman University, UAE, as a Professor of AI/ML. He published over 300 papers in different aspects of signal/image processing, and is the recipient of numerous awards. He supervised over 40 Graduate Theses. His research interests cover different aspects of multimedia signal/image processing, and AI/ML applications.
