Abstract |
In this project we have implemented an IoT parking system where we have named it as “IPARK”. Our parking system focuses on solving two primary objectives along with efficiently utilizing the latest IoT technologies. The first target of our parking system is to assist people in finding an available parking lot in a much faster pace and within few minutes without delay. For this purpose, we have installed a massive display screen that shows a clear visualization of the entire parking lots available along with their locations in order to facilitate the drivers experience on searching for a parking lot by themselves. The second target of our parking system is a special feature that assess on guiding drivers to ensure that they have parked in their parking slots correctly within the lines in order to assure their safely. This implementation was accomplished with use of one of IoT’s latest sensors that eased the process of detecting such activities and transmitting it remotely through the Internet. In IPARK parking system the drivers we will be able to view the available parking slots, their locations and they will clearly notice the change in the parking status when they will park moreover, they will be notified to correct their parking position if it was inaccurate, through an LED light. Furthermore, our parking system provides for its users a website that enables them to connect with the administrations for their feedbacks or whether they have dedicated a serious issue that needs to be solved urgently.
