Taking attendance is an important element of the educational process since it ensures that all students are present for the class to benefit and achieve its goals. However, there may be certain issues with taking attendance in the traditional ways such as signing on a student's name paper or calling the name, some issues may happen such as students may sign for others, also calling students names taking up a significant amount of class time and disturbing the lectures. Inefficiency and unreliability are the causes of these issues.

In our project, we developed a Python-based framework to address these challenges. The method works by recognizing a student's face using facial recognition technology. The face will next be compared to other faces in the database that have previously been recorded or registered. The attendance will be taken based on this comparison.
