More than 70 Top Employer Brands Converge at Ajman University Career Fair 2024
More than 70 companies converged at Ajman University to participate in the Ajman University (AU) Career Fair 2024. One of the most coveted annual career events in Ajman, the AU Career Fair brings together AU students, alumni and organizations to discover unique career opportunities, guidance and mentorship by experts, and helps companies spot talent for their highly skilled jobs.
Over 1500 students and alumni participated in the AU Career Fair, which witnessed the presence of established and innovative companies including Al Ghurair Group, Alpha Data, Damac, Concord Stars, Beam Education and Huawei among several others.
AU Career Fair 2024 was organized and managed by Masar Career Excellence, an innovative unit that spearheads career-related activities for AU students and alumni.
Apart from facilitating interactions with prospective employers for students and alumni, the event also hosted several interesting panel discussions and workshops on the most trending industry topics.
In a talk on Artificial Intelligence (AI), keynote speaker Adnan Hadi, Founder & CEO of Gain AI Edge, explored the revolutionary impact of AI across various fields.
In a panel discussion, EFS Group’s Senior General Manager for Talent Management, Ananya Mundakal, joined by Victoria Yates, Head of Talent Acquisition, Al Tamimi & Co, and Claudette Marchadesch, Group Chief Human Capital Officer, Al Ghurair Group discussed the important topic of ‘Career Resilience,’ which proved highly relevant given the high career burnout rates witnessed across industries.
Anne-Marie du Toit, HR Advisor, Al Ghurair Group hosted a highly engaging workshop entitled ‘Let’s talk careers quick-fire activity’ for students and alumni.
Students were also provided guidance on crafting the perfect CV through CV clinics organized by AU alumni, Olive Company, and Al Ghurair Group respectively.
Ajman University’s growing reputation as a career-oriented university has boosted the popularity of the AU Career Fair. Ajman University was ranked #279 worldwide for Employer Reputation in the QS World University Rankings 2024.
Notably, AU was recently recognized as one of just three universities in the UAE producing Fortune 500 Arabia CEOs, by Fortune Middle East Magazine.
With its meticulously crafted workshops, panel discussions, mentorship and guidance sessions, AU Career Fair 2024 turned out to be a highly successful career event for AU students, alumni, and the industry.
