Malaysian Academic and Leading Authority on Nanobiophysics Dr. Che Abdullah Appreciates Faculty Exchange Opportunity at Ajman University
Dr. Che Azurahanim Che Abdullah, Associate Professor at Universiti Putra Malaysia and a leading authority on Nanobiophysics, recently participated in Ajman University’s Faculty Exchange Program. Dr. Che is extremely pleased with the ‘intellectual stimulation and cultural diversity’ she got to experience at AU.
Teaching Experience at AU: A Paradigm Shift
Dr. Che emphasized AU’s dynamic and diverse environment as key highlights of her positive experience at AU. For her the intellectual stimulation and cultural diversity at AU stood out, fostering cross-cultural discussions that set it apart from her previous university. Adapting to language diversity, a significant aspect at AU, prompted adjustments in her teaching methods.
“Despite initial challenges, teaching at AU became a transformative experience for me,” said Dr. Che. “Adapting to diverse language and foundation levels have led to refinement of my teaching methods. Integration of technology and engaging classroom discussions further enriched the academic discourse and helped me actively participate in AU's academic community,” she added.
Dr. Che loves mentoring postgraduate students and spearheading community projects, notably through the NANOTEDD research group.
At Ajman University (AU), Dr. Che is further exploring her nanomaterial synthesis research, aiming to make a sustainable impact on nanodentistry and nanomedicine. She hopes her research will contribute to more personalized, effective, and minimally invasive treatments, adding significantly to advancements in healthcare.
