Dr. Anshuman Sharma, an Associate Professor of Marketing at Ajman University's College of Business Administration, has won the Journal of Consumer Behavior (JCB) Best Paper Award 2023. Dr. Anshuman co-authored the award-winning paper, "Brands are calling your AVATAR in Metaverse-A study to explore XR-based gamification marketing activities & consumer-based brand equity in the virtual world."
The JCB Best Paper award is an annual feature of the Journal of Consumer Behavior, and is decided by the editorial and advisory board votes. The Journal of Consumer Behavior is a prestigious journal in the marketing area. It is a Q1 Scopus-indexed journal. It is also classified as an A-category journal on the famous Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) Journal Quality List.
