The Unit of Athletics Celebrates UAE National Sports Day 2024

The Athletics Unit at the Office of Student Life organized an exciting Sports Championship, featuring diverse competitions for male and female athletes. Student athletes showcased their skills in team and individual games including Basketball, Futsal, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Swimming, Powerlifting, and Chess. A total of 210 participants represented AU across eight sports.

 
The closing ceremony provided a fitting conclusion to this riveting championship. Beginning with the men's volleyball final match, the event honored the outstanding achievements of the winners. Ms. Asma Al Shamsi, Manager of the Athletics Unit, along with Sports Activities Supervisors Captain Manal Al Katalbi and Captain AbdulHamid Bakour, presented accolades to the deserving victors.

The Athletics Unit promotes student well-being through diverse sports events and motivational programs, encouraging an active lifestyle for enhanced fitness and wellness. As a key partner in balancing academics and health, it inspires AU students to excel both on and off the field.
