Mr. Ouazir Salem, Instructor of Mathematics at Ajman University, recently went on an academic visit to the College of Lake County in Chicago, USA. The visit took place on May 16, 2024, with the primary goal of gaining insights into the experimental devices used in the college's Physics laboratory and the companies that supply these advanced tools.
The self-funded trip was made possible with the support of several key figures at Ajman University. Dr. Mohamed Al Taher, Dean of the College of Humanities and Sciences; Dr. Atef Abdelkader, Head of the Mathematics and Science Department; and Ms. Ahood Al Rawashdeh whose advie and assistance were invaluable to facilitate Mr. Ouazir’s visit.
During his visit to College of Lake County, Mr. Salem met with significant members of the College of Lake County, including Dr. Voytek Wloch, Director of Global Engagement; Dr. Julia Peterson, Acting Associate Dean of the Engineering, Math, and Physical Sciences Division; Alice Freitas, Senior Administrative Assistant for Global Engagement; and Laura Ruiz, International Student Recruiter. Dr. Voytek Wloch provided a comprehensive tour of the college's laboratories, offering Mr. Salem valuable insights into the various experimental devices and their suppliers.
Mr. Salem expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and the opportunity to enhance his knowledge and bring back valuable information to Ajman University. This visit marks a significant step in promoting academic collaboration and exchanging innovative educational practices between the two institutions.
