Ajman University’s Chancellor Discusses the Future of Learning in a LinkedIn Panel Discussion

Ajman University’s Chancellor Dr. Karim Seghir has served on a panel discussion hosted by LinkedIn Dubai on the future of learning and work.

The discussion entitled “Shaping Tomorrow: The Future of Work and Higher Education” explored the interesting interplay of higher education and the future of work, with special focus on Artificial Intelligence and its impact on the future of learning.

Chancellor Seghir was joined on the panel by Dr. Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University; Dr. Lolowa Al Marzooqi, Assistant Vice Provost, New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD); and Dr. William Cornwell, Provost, American University in the Emirates.

The discussion was moderated by Mohammed Benzakour, Senior Customer Success Manager for the MENA region at LinkedIn.

The discussion centered around several related topics including the impact of AI and technology in enhancing the learning experience, and the importance of digital learning platforms.

On the theme of skillsets required for the future, Chancellor Seghir discussed strategies to equip students with the skills needed for the future job market. The panelists also discussed their respective visions for the career center of the future and the pivotal role it will play in student development.
