Ajman University (AU) hosted its 2024 Student Club Fair, organized by the Office of Student Life, to highlight the wide variety of student-run clubs on campus. Featuring 107 clubs that cater to diverse interests, hobbies, academic fields, and cultural backgrounds, the fair was inaugurated by Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, alongside Cabinet members and Dr. Nahla Alqassimi, Dean of Student Services.
During the event, Dr. Seghir toured the booths, engaging with students to learn more about their club activities and projects. He emphasized the vital role that these clubs play in fostering a sense of community and enhancing student involvement. "These clubs not only help connect students but also contribute significantly to developing leadership and interpersonal skills—skills that are essential for success in today’s competitive job market," he said.
Dr. Nahla Alqassimi echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of extracurricular activities in shaping students' overall development. “Promoting student interaction through clubs contributes to a vibrant educational atmosphere where the exchange of ideas drives innovation and builds critical thinking skills. These clubs offer valuable platforms for self-expression, collaboration, and creative problem-solving, enriching the student experience,” she stated.
The Student Club Fair is a cornerstone of campus life at Ajman University, providing students with opportunities to explore their passions, build lifelong friendships, and develop skills that complement their academic journey. By fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity, the fair underscores AU’s commitment to student growth both inside and outside the classroom, helping students prepare for personal and professional success.
