A delegation from the University of British Columbia (UBC) visited Ajman University (AU) to discuss opportunities for collaboration. Representing AU was Prof. Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs who was accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Nasor, Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology; Prof. Nageeb Hassan, Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences; Prof. Nadir Kheir, Manager of the Student Success Center, and Mrs. Ala’a Al Amiry, Lecturer, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
UBC delegates included Prof. Marie Tarrant, Dean of the Faculty of Health and Social Development at the School of Nursing at UBC Okanagan; Prof. Will Hughes, Director, School of Engineering; and Associate Prof. Jackie Denison, Interim Director for the School of Nursing.
Discussions focused on collaboration between the School of Nursing at UBC Okanagan and the new Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNS) Program to be launched soon by AU.
