Peer Tutors at Ajman University Get Recognized for Their Outstanding Efforts

September 11, 2023, was a day of accolades for AU students who have taken on additional roles as peer tutors at Ajman University. The Student Success Center (SSC) held an appreciation gathering on the day to celebrate the efforts and dedication of peer tutors as well as the entire student community.

Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, Dean of Student Services, honoured Farah Zakut, Maryam Younis, and Laith Badwan as the ‘Most Active Peer Tutors of the Year.’ Doaa Rafiq was awarded as the ‘Peer Tutor of the Year’ and Hana AbdelHamid was recognized as the ‘SSC Admin Team Member of the Year.’

 In his welcoming speech, Prof Kheir (Manager of the SSC) said that Ajman University’s Peer Tutors have displayed commitment, dedication, and belief in the Centre’s mission and they have not just shared their knowledge, but also inspired their peers to reach their academic goals.

 Faculty Liaisons Dr. Nihal Ibrahim (College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences), Rima Shishakly (College of Business Administration), and Asma Alarab (College of Humanities and Sciences) also attended the gathering to encourage their students.
