Ajman University's Student Success Center (SSC) held its first annual Forum on February 20, 2023, to celebrate the exceptional work of Peer Tutors and Faculty Liaisons. The event was attended by Professor Khaled Assaleh, the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, and Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, the Dean of Student Affairs, in addition to college deans, faculty members, and over 60 student peer tutors.
Professor Khaled Assaleh congratulated the Peer Tutors and Faculty Liaisons for their outstanding work and commended the SSC team for organizing such an inspiring event. He handed certificates of appreciation to 15 faculty members for taking up Faculty Liaison roles with the SSC.
Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi expressed her appreciation for the SSC team's efforts in providing academic support services that cater to the diverse needs of the students.
During the ceremony, the Manager of the SSC, Professor Nadir Kheir said that the forum was organized to recognize the outstanding contributions of all those who have worked tirelessly to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for the students. He stated that it was through the efforts of the Peer Tutors and Faculty Liaisons that the SSC was able to create a robust network of academic support that meet the diverse needs of the students.
The annual forum served as a platform to showcase the success stories of the Peer Tutors and Faculty Liaisons and to acknowledge their contribution towards the development of the SSC. It provided an opportunity for the SSC team to network, share ideas and discuss future strategies to improve academic support services for students.
