Ajman University’s Research Output Shows Remarkable Growth in 2022

Ajman University’s (AU) research output has witnessed remarkable growth in 2022, with indexed research papers increasing from 611 in 2021 to 947 in 2022, representing a 55% year-on-year growth. Since 2017, AU’s research output has grown exponentially, with a 25-fold increase in the number of indexed research papers.

The growth in research output has been across all disciplines, underscoring the solid emphasis AU has attached to research growth in recent times.  The growth is not only reflected in the number of indexed papers produced, but also in terms of the quality of these papers. In 2022, almost 50% of AU’s papers were published in Q1 journals, an increase of around 86% since 2021. Additionally, more than 80% of AU’s 2022 papers were published with international collaborators, emphasizing the importance placed on international research collaborations.

This remarkable growth stands as a testament to the hard work and dedication of AU researchers, who are constantly pushing the boundaries of knowledge and making things happen.

AU’s multi-disciplinary research focusses on various fields such as healthcare, AI, energy, and technology, helping find new perspectives and solutions to challenges faced by businesses, governments and societies globally and in the UAE.
