The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Ajman University organized “Simulation Day” in line with the “International Medical Simulation Week 2023,” under the theme 'Be a Champion of Your Success Story!'
Ajman University welcomed students from Al Shola American School in Ajman to promote education and training in healthcare fields. Representatives from the National Ambulance and Leader Healthcare Group were also invited to showcase their expertise in simulation technology.
Simulation Day featured numerous interactive activities and sessions that expanded the students’ horizons and increased their knowledge of healthcare and nursing-related professions. Moreover, the event featured an interactive workshop on 'First Aid' and the importance of handling emergency medical conditions like cardiac arrest including a practical scenario for providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to an adult. Using Virtual Reality (VR) technology, a virtual scenario was also presented for students to engage with. All these workshops provided a unique opportunity for students to explore simulation techniques.
Following the simulation sessions, an overview was presented about the Bachelor's program in Nursing offered by the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, as well as the Bachelor’s in Architecture Engineering program offered by the College of Architecture and Design. These presentations piqued the students' interest and motivated them to explore and learn more about these programs’ future paths and careers.
