In the sacred month of Ramadan, Ajman University organized a proactive Ramadan Campaign that exemplified the institution's commitment to social responsibility and giving back to the community.
The Community Service Unit (CSU) of Ajman University mobilized students to various locations across the Emirate of Ajman. Their mission was to distribute "Iftar boxes" to those in need. Furthermore, volunteers distributed date boxes in 14 different mosques in Umm Al Quwain, Sharjah, and Ajman during the Taraweeh prayers. Many Iftar boxes and date boxes reached individuals from diverse backgrounds throughout these activities.
Embracing the Ramadan spirit, the dedicated students enthusiastically volunteered during this campaign, and their experience was so rewarding that they requested the university to repeat such initiatives in the future. This initiative provided much-needed support to the community and united students from various departments in making a positive impact through volunteering. The Ramadan Campaign at Ajman University strongly aligns with SDG #1, SDG #2, and SDG #10, addressing the issues of poverty, hunger, and inequality by distributing essential meals to those in need and fostering community engagement and volunteerism.
