In partnership with the Al Ihsan Charity Association, Ajman University initiated the "Orphans Empowerment Initiative." This event exemplified the university's commitment to community involvement, focusing on aiding orphaned individuals. During a two-day program in February 2022, this initiative offered 40 orphans a distinctive opportunity to engage in training sessions and workshops tailored to provide them with valuable knowledge and cultivate a spirit of learning. The primary goal was to equip these young individuals with skills, education, and self-assurance, ultimately improving their prospects for the future.
Aligned with SDG #1 – No Poverty, the initiative addressed socio-economic challenges orphans face by providing access to education and skills training, breaking the cycle of poverty and vulnerability. It also supported SDG #4 - Quality Education by offering workshops and promoting inclusive and equitable quality education. Ajman University's collaboration with the Al Ihsan Charity Association exemplifies its dedication to addressing societal issues, fostering education, and promoting empowerment. It was a significant effort to positively impact the lives of orphans while contributing to global goals of poverty eradication and quality education for all.
