H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Executive Council, and Chairman of Ajman University's Board of Trustees, presided over the meeting. Under his leadership, the Board of Trustees of Ajman University approved the university's budget for the academic year 2022/2023.
The meeting, held at Ajman University, commenced with His Highness welcoming the board members and highlighting the university's prestigious position in local, regional, and global higher education. He commended the university's role in supporting the nation's progress across various fields and thanked the board members for their efforts in advancing Ajman University's academic and operational excellence. His Highness praised the university's dedication to excellence and innovation, thanking the management, faculty, students, and alumni. He highlighted the university's recent achievements, such as AACSB accreditation for the College of Business Administration, which places it in the top 6% globally. Ajman University is among only 10 in the UAE and 5 offering doctoral programs to receive this recognition. The university also received approval from the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) to increase the number of new students enrolled in the College of Medicine by 33%, as it meets all academic accreditation standards. Notably, there was an 11% increase in new student enrollments for the academic year 2022-2023. Furthermore, the university enhanced its educational and research facilities to support scientific research endeavors. Initiatives included the establishment of an Artificial Intelligence Research Center, addition of five new educational laboratories and five joint classrooms, and the introduction of a nursing program, along with new courses at the Continuing Education Center, to meet the demands of the job market.
