Ajman University Organizes Winter Fest to Develop Youth as Leaders of a Sustainable Future

In line with its commitment towards greater community engagement and its vision of developing the youth in UAE as leaders for a sustainable future, Ajman University organized a Winter Festival for youth from across four emirates in the UAE. The Winter Festival was held at the Sheikh Zayed Center for Conferences & Exhibitions at the AU Campus from December 19-23, 2022.

A total of 30 students from seven participating schools in Ajman, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah took part in the Winter Festival which provided students with an overview of the cultural and historical heritage of the UAE, and familiarized them with trends in technology, architecture, healthcare, and other key academic disciplines.

The students were divided into two groups as per their respective ages - the Junior Group (7-10 years) and the Senior Group (15-18 years) - with age-appropriate activities organized for each group.

The activities were focused on bringing out their sporting abilities, nurturing reading habits, developing a spirit of compassion through community service and familiarizing them with the concept of sustainability.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the highly informative and engaging Winter Fest and said they would be eager to be back on the AU campus for another such exciting event.
