On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Ajman University Chancellor Dr. Karim Seghir invited the AU Alumni Board and Council Members for an Iftar gathering. The event was aimed at providing the alumni representatives an opportunity to socialize with the Chancellor and offer their views on recent AU initiatives, while celebrating the spirit of Ramadan.
The Iftar was held at the Safi Restaurant in Ajman Saray Hotel on April 21, 2022. 12 AU Alumni Council Members, including the AU Alumni Board members, joined Dr. Karim at the meeting, along with representatives from the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs.
The AU Alumni Board and Council Members expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to come together this holy month and were happy to meet with the Chancellor and the team from the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs. The Council Members were excited to hear about the initiatives taken by AU. They presented a few key points from their own plans to enhance engagement between AU and the alumni body.
Ajman University has more than 40,000 alumni since its inception in 1988, who are making significant intellectual contributions to the communities they live in. They are proud brand ambassadors of AU. The AU Alumni Council is a crucial link between AU and its diverse global alumni.
