Demonstrating that universities can help students achieve their career goals even during the Covid-19 pandemic, Ajman University (AU) recently organized a Virtual Mock Interview and Advising Week for the benefit of its students and alumni. Some of the top employers in the UAE participated in this virtual event held on November 22, which included sessions on CV-writing, interview skills and mock interviews where participants received feedback from senior professionals on how they had presented themselves.
The event was organized by Ajman University’s Career Services division of the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs, and featured senior human resources and business development officers from leading companies advising AU students & alumni and interacting with them.

The alumni and students in attendance learned about specific skills related to seeking a job, what to include in a resume and cover letter, how best to present themselves in job interviews, and common mistakes to avoid.
