Unit of Community Service collaborated with Ms. Alaa Alamri to provide a CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) workshop to the children of Lycée Français International Georges Pompidou. LFIGP is a French international school with campuses in Dubai and Sharjah. There were 36 students from Sharjah branch of grade 5 who attended the workshop. They were accompanied by their teachers and very well-disciplined students of LFIGP School. It was the very first time in history providing CPR Workshop to this young age group, which is very important to aware them at early stage. Ms. Alaa also experienced and enjoyed the interesting question & answer session with the students who were more responsive and enthusiastic to learn more.
They practiced on the mannequins and giving them an idea was the most important thing though they can't really help any individual at this age. Unit of Community service aims to raise awareness among all the gender and age group level. Lifesaving awareness sessions are very important and should be encouraged more in our community. It was another successful awareness session that Unit of Community service conducted among children. The event was held during the month of January 2020 for students and staff of Lycée français international georges Pompidou School, Sharjah.
