Ajman University (AU) students, pushed back 300 contestants from across the country, and seized the top spot in the Umm Al Moumineen Women Association short films contest.
The competition, themed ‘Filial Tolerance’, was held under the patronage of the Wife of H.H Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, Sheikha Fatima Bint Saqr Al Nahyan.
With this big number of contestants from schools and universities nationwide, the competition was so stiff, Dr. Safa Othman, a faculty member at the College of Mass Communication, said.
“Ajman University students, with their inspiring short film, have made it and far excelled all the 300 contestants.”
Hussain Adel and Yasser Abdulrahman, students of Mass Communication, AU, were recognized for their short film ‘Safe Haven’, she added.
“The film sheds light on the filial relationship, and how the father remains the key supporter to his children all the time.”
The top winners were finally honored by Sheikh Azza Al Nuaimi, Chairwoman of the Humaid Charity Establishment.
