Students of Mass Communication at Ajman University (AU) have been recognized by the (Clicks) Center for Learning Innovations & Customized Knowledge Solutions.
The honoring was in recognition of the University support to the 4th MENA Higher Education Leadership Forum, held under the theme “Higher Education in the Era of the Fourth & Future Industrial Revolutions: Challenges and Opportunities”.
The students have actively participated in organizing the three-day forum held on February 25 – 27, 2020, under the supervision of Dr. Dina Elkhattat, a Training Coordinator in the College.
Since its inception in 2013, the MENA Forum has been considered as one of the region’s premier higher education gatherings, Dr. Elkhattat said.
“This year, it saw the participation of higher education leaders and representatives of both government and industrial sectors from more than 45 countries around the world.”
These are apart from the United Arab Emirates and many other countries including the United States of America, Germany, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Bahrain, South Africa, and Nigeria, she added.
“The forum discussed the influence of the industrial age on the higher education sector and the need for universities to respond to successive technological developments.”
On top of these developments are the “Internet of Things” and the “Artificial Intelligence technology”, she Dr. Elkhattat pointed out.
“The forum also focused on innovative and pioneering practices in the higher education.”
