The Guidance Unit of the Deanship of Student Affairs at Ajman University organized many lectures and workshops presented by a group of experienced and varied skills, targeting female students from different colleges.
Ms. Hala Martini presented a workshop on the keys and skills of thinking, and its role in the development of different types of thinking such as critical thinking, creative, objective, positive and realistic. Ms. Martini also addressed the types of thinking, the characteristics of critical thinking, the characteristics of creative thinking, and conducted some exercises on critical and creative thinking skills.
Ms. Sahar Al Zahran presented a workshop on ways of persuasion and how to influence, in which she reviewed the concept of persuasion, elements of persuasion, methods of persuasion and influence on others, factors of success of persuasion, the importance of persuasion in daily life as well as obstacles to persuasion and influence in others.
The student Guidance unit also hosted Ms. Jameela Al Zaabi, who presented a presentation on drugs and their negative consequences on the society. Ms. Jameela confirmed her pride in the interaction of the students who demonstrated their ability to be ambassadors of awareness through their knowledge of the types of drugs and methods of prevention, methods of abuse and causes of abuse in addition to the role Parents in reducing the deviation of children within a short period of time.
Ms. Jameela explained that Dubai Police is fully confidential with all the reports it receives, and provides full support to help addicts and refer them for treatment. The students presented a presentation on the causes of addiction and its types and methods of treatment.
The various activities held by the Guidance Unit attest to the interest of the students and a keen interest in attending and participating in them.
