Four students from L'Institut d'Ostéopathie de Bordeaux visited AU for an educational and cultural exchange program, during the week of September 23-27, 2018. In March, AU students will travel to Bordeaux, France to visit the Institute.
In the framework of the memorandum of agreement signed by the two parties earlier this year, aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two institutions and activating the exchange program to achieve scientific, practical and cultural goals.
During the visit, the students witnessed a number of lectures and specialized courses in dentistry and clinical dentistry. The five-day intensive visit program aims to provide visiting students with a comprehensive understanding and practical application of different dental treatment procedures. The students participated in theoretical and practical lectures, witnessed practical applications in the similar toy laboratory and attended a number of surgical operations in addition to on post-operative treatment methods.
The student delegation visited a number of tourist, entertainment and cultural attractions in the UAE. The visit ended with a gala dinner attended by officials from the French embassy in the UAE who expressed their deep appreciation for building academic partnerships with Ajman University and activating exchange programs with French academic institutions. Students received certificates of appreciation for completing the exchange program.
The Office of International Academic Affairs at Ajman University organized the visit and it will be responsible for organizing a visit by a group of students of AU’s College of Dentistry to the Institut of Ostéopathie Bordeaux in France in March to enhance their contact with the outside world.
