AU Mathematical Olympiad was organized on campus which witnessed an overwhelming participation of 165 students from 38 higher secondary schools representing, local and foreign curriculums.
The aim of these Olympics is to create the right environment for competition between secondary school students in the fields of maths where students are tested in multiple topics in mathematics that corresponds to their age, to discover their talents in mathematics and to encourage them to find a positive environment to enhance their knowledge. It also trains the students to creatively think and develop a pattern by new experiences all these beyond the borders of curriculum. Raising the scientific level of students boosts their confidence level and motivates them to push their limits.
This event was organized within the framework of the developing strategic partnership between the Ministry of Education and Ajman University wherein they organize and promote joint events for the scientific community and students. Their efforts support the education process and impact the outcome of students upon graduation.
Dr Khalid Al Saleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Ms. Nancy Bercaw, Chief of Staff, along with Prof. Sheikh Ould Hammoud, Dean of Education and Basic Science College flagged off the Olympiad. Winners will be honored for their exceptional talent in mathematics and analytical thinking
