Ajman University is one of the pioneers of the Family Business Consortium in the MENA Region. AU joins the other prestigious institutions that will create and nurture this venture in the region. The consortium will include business schools and colleges from ESCA Ecole de Management, The American University in Cairo, American University of Beirut, Holy Spirit University, Lebanon, Ajman University and Abu Dhabi University.
Dr. Karim Seghir pointed out that this consortium will support the business eco system as it expands its outreach across the world, yet the family business remain the most important pillar of its existence in the MENA region. Due the importance of Family Businesses in MENA Region and its contribution to the national GDP in respective countries, Business schools have to support and enhance their activities in order to ensure their continuous development and sustainability.
The Family Business Consortium in MENA Region aims to develop and disseminate research on family businesses in the Arab world. They all share the common aim of serving their community and countries economic growth. They contribute relentlessly to the development and sustainability of local and regional family business whilst strengthening their international growth with innovative approaches.
