A delegation from Ajman University, headed by Dr. Karim Seghir, AU Chancellor along with Dr. Abdul Haq Al Nuaimi, Vice-Chancellor for Advancement and Communication and Prof. Khaled Assaleh, Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs visited the Kingdom of Bahrain. This visit comes as a part of the GCC tour to strengthen bilateral ties with educational institutions across the Gulf region.
The delegation met His Excellency Dr. Majid Al- Nuaimi, Minister of Education in Bahrain. Dr. Karim Seghir explained the strategic plan for Ajman University and the new programs and initiatives that will bring in the new academic year in September. He also pointed out the endeavors for international recognition that have already yielded the QS ranking for AU. On his part, Dr. Majid appreciated the efforts of AU and its years of commitment to higher education; he expressed interest in forging new ties to foster the growth of academia in the region.
In its visit to the University of Bahrain the delegation met Dr. Riad Hamza, University Chancellor and both sides discussed avenues of cooperation between the two institutions in the field of student and faculty exchange and scientific research amongst others.
The AU alumni Bahrain Chapter met with the alma mater wherein they were briefed about the latest developments and achievements. They were also given a presentation about the new graduate and postgraduate program launched at AU.
