Students & alumni of Ajman University participated in the CSR in Action program held by AL Ahli Holding Group in collaboration with Dubai Small & Medium Enterprises for participants across the UAE.
CSR in Action aims to develop and enhance corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities among practitioners and augment student conceptual understanding. The program provides training and exchange of best CSR and social enterprise ideas and practices, then helps participant create their own projects for social impact. It engages the private sector, academia and government entities in formulating strategies that are more responsive to community needs.
Mrs. Noor Al Chaghouri, Head of Community Service Unit explained that Ajman University’s participation comes from its keenness to give the students & alumni a comprehensive educational experience, to develop their personality as much as their academic prowess. The participating students & alumni will receive certificates that will be an added advantage to their academic certifications and in turn, it will increase their chances of getting a suitable placement in the labor market. In addition to that, we provide full support to our students that will present their CSR projects on 14 November to a panel of esteemed judges.
In a pragmatic approach to social impact, judges and speakers include directors of multinational companies with successful CSR programs, social entrepreneurs who provide first-hand knowledge of creating change and experts on sustainability for social impact creation and measurement.
