The Fine Arts Center of the Deanship of Student Affairs at Ajman University held a carnival of fine arts in which 50 students shared more than 500 paintings and works of art. More than 300 students attended the Carnival from different colleges.
The Carnival showcased he completion of an acrylic fresco in a record time by student Aya Al Saadoun of the College of Engineering, an associate of the Fine Arts Center. The Carnival offered a series of workshops including Mandela making, needlework, oil painting, acrylic painting, artwork, graphics, glass painting, and water painting.
Ms. Mona Al-Jabali, Au’s Senior Officer of Fine Arts Activities, reported that the Carnival of Fine Arts has been held periodically over the last 18 years and aims to attract new students from various colleges who enjoy various artistic talents in preparation for joining the center. The Senior Officer of Fine Arts Activities added that the carnival contributes to the process of defining the Center of Fine Arts and Activities.
The Fine Arts Center of the Deanship of Student Affairs aims to enrich non-student programs and develop their artistic and creative talents. It is concerned with the fields of artistic expression, such as oil painting, graphics, pastels, ceramics and sculpture. The center provides all the tools and materials of oil painting, water and pastel, as well as metal and natural leather, drawing tables and a special oven for ceramics and sculpture, additionally the center offers courses in art.
