Ajman University Hosts “Hemaya” Campaign
Ajman University hosted the Dubai Police delegation on campus. They are promoting the 13th Hemaya International Forum & Exhibition on Drug Issues. This forum will be held under the theme “Foreseeing the Future of the Global Combat of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances: Predictions, Preparations and Prevention Strategies for 2030”.
The Community Service Unit in association with the Department of Sociology at the College of Mass Communication received the delegation. Their presentation included a detailed insight into the objectives of the initiative and increasing awareness amongst the students about drug abuse. The students were intrigued about the laws and its consequences along with the negative affects of drug on the consumer, their family and the community at large.
This comes within the framework of Ajman University’s responsibility towards the society and assuring its role in lending a positive hand in increasing awareness amongst the young generation on prevention and dangers of drugs.
