Ajman University hosted the AACSB International Academic Accreditation and Standards (AACSB) workshop, organized by the Academic Accreditation Authority of the UAE Ministry of Education and attended by deans and representatives of business administration colleges in various higher education institutions in the UAE.
The workshop was opened by the university's Chancellor, Dr. Karim Seghir, in a speech in which he welcomed the distinguished guests and expressed his pleasure to host this valuable workshop which will provide business administration colleges in various higher education institutions of the standards and requirements for obtaining this important international academic accreditation.
Dr. Mohamed Badr El Din Abou El Ela, Advisor to the Minister of Education and the President of the Arab Network for Quality Assurance, spoke about the importance of obtaining international accreditation for the colleges of business administration and its great impact in improving educational quality. Dr. Abu Ala thanked and appreciated AU for hosting this rich workshop.
Dr. Mustafa Sarhan, Dean of the College of Business Administration at Savannah State University, USA, said that the international academic accreditation of AACSB for business administration colleges is granted after the implementation of specific standards and requirements. After passing several stages which include a set of international requirements and standards.
Dr. Sarhan spoke about the importance of this accreditation, its vision and its value in the academic institutions, and reviewed the matters affecting this dependence, including innovation and management, the strength of the presence of the academic institution at the local, regional and global levels, among others.
