Dr. Prabhu Manickam Natarajan completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, India, and went on to earn his Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Periodontics from Annamalai University in 2003. He then completed his Doctorate in Periodontics from the renowned Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER) in India, becoming the first to earn this Doctorate from the university in September 2011. In 2019, Dr. Prabhu received the Fellowship in Dental Surgery from The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK. Due to his contributions to dental education, he was awarded the Fellowship of the Faculty of Dental Trainers from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in January 2020, becoming the first individual from India to receive this honor. He later earned the Fellowship in General Dental Practice from the Royal College of England. Dr. Prabhu began his teaching career as a Lecturer in Periodontics in February 2004 and was promoted through various positions based on his contributions to teaching, research, and clinical practice. He was promoted to Professor in Periodontics in India in February 2012 and served as a Professor of Periodontics and Research Coordinator in Malaysia from 2012 to 2014. Dr. Prabhu has worked at Gulf Medical University, Ajman, and USTF, Fujairah, before joining Ajman University in September 2021. A renowned speaker at both national and international conferences, Dr. Prabhu has been awarded two research grants. He is also a PhD guide and examiner for PhD, Master's, and undergraduate exams.
