The College of Law Organizes an Awareness Lecture on Drafting and Preparing a Defense Memorandum in a Criminal Case

As part of its ongoing efforts to equip students with the necessary skills for the job market and enhance their practical understanding of legal procedures, the College of Law at Ajman University hosted an awareness lecture titled "Drafting and Preparing a Defense Memorandum in a Criminal Case." The lecture was delivered by H.E. Judge Dr. Abdullah Saif Al Shamsi, Chief Judge of the Primary Criminal Court of Appeals – Dubai Courts.

The session covered key topics aimed at enhancing students' comprehension of legal writing and defense strategies in criminal cases. H.E. Judge Dr. Abdullah Saif Al Shamsi outlined the fundamental legal principles governing the preparation of defense memoranda, emphasizing the importance of constructing well-founded legal arguments supported by strong legal and jurisprudential references. He also highlighted the essential components that a defense memorandum should include.

The lecture attracted a large number of students and faculty members, offering participants valuable insights into legal drafting techniques and effective defense strategies.
