Ajman University Organizes an Awareness Visit to the Flag Park

Students from the College of Law, in collaboration with the Office of Community Engagement at Ajman University, organized an informative visit to the Flag Park in the Emirate of Ajman, aimed to raise awareness about climate change and the importance of agriculture. This visit is part of the activities for the 'Environmental Protection Law' course taught by Dr. Khaled Al Jasmi at the College of Law.

During the visit, students distributed approximately 50 Ghaf trees to the visitors and offered insights on the importance of planting this type of tree, which is considered a local environmental tree in the United Arab Emirates, known for its remarkable ability to adapt to the dry desert conditions of the country.

In addition, visitors had the opportunity to benefit from the awareness campaign conducted by the students about the COP28 conference by scanning a QR code.  This code provided access to information about the conference and its importance in addressing global environmental challenges.

Furthermore, the students delivered detailed explanations to the visitors about the increasing concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and their impact on rising global temperatures, highlighting the importance of taking effective measures to reduce these environmental effects and maintain ecological balance.

Ajman University continues to raise awareness about environmental issues among its students and the community by organizing environmental awareness campaigns. This is a reflective of the university ongoing commitment to enhance social responsibility and its leading role in nurturing a generation dedicated to conserving the environment and the sustainability of its natural resources.
