Ajman University Library is now a member of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA). IFLA is an international organization representing the interests of the profession and working to improve services worldwide. The global voice of libraries with members from 150 countries, IFLA advocates for libraries to be recognized as essential partners for inclusive, sustainable development, through their work to provide meaningful access to information for all.
Ajman University Library is also currently in the process of applying for American Libraries Association (ALA) membership. Based in the United States of America, American Library Association (ALA) is the oldest and largest library association in the world with over 62,000 members.
ALA’s core mission is “to provide leadership for the development, promotion and improvement of library and information services and the profession of librarianship in order to enhance learning and ensure access to information for all.”
