Ajman University Launches Alumni Voices Leadership Series

Ajman University, through its Office of Alumni Affairs (OAA), has proudly introduced the Alumni Voices Leadership Series (AVLS). This initiative aims to strengthen ties with its alumni, granting them a pivotal role in shaping the University's future.

The AVLS initiative invites alumni back to campus, fostering engagement with current students while providing a platform to share their expertise and talents with the AU community. Already, twenty-five distinguished AU alumni from the Colleges of Business Administration, Engineering and Information Technology, Humanities and Sciences, Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and Medicine have contributed to the series. Their involvement includes video interviews, interactive sessions with students, and various networking activities, offering alumni a chance to reconnect with their alma mater.

Feras Tabakh, a 2010 graduate of the College of Engineering and Information Technology and currently a Regional Marketing Manager at Philips Minneapolis, expressed his joy at returning to campus after nearly 15 years. He relished the opportunity to share his impressive career path and offered guidance to students on leveraging their coursework for successful global engineering careers.

Alumni Council Member Jafar AlShadidi, from the Class of 2018 and a Regional Regulatory Coordinator & Levant Specialist, collaborated with the OAA to host a Pharmacy Symposium for students. Similarly, Eman Mohamad Nasor, a 2024 graduate from the College of Medicine and an intern doctor at Al Qassimi Hospital, conducted a workshop focusing on securing internships in the UAE post-graduation.

Contributing to the Leadership Series were also Ammar Zheiman, a 2015 graduate and Senior Product Specialist at MEC-SGS Medical Equipment L.L.C, and Mohammad Shalwani, from the Class of 2023 and Head of Recruitment for People of Determination at Sharjah Humanitarian City. Their participation added immense value, providing current students with insights and knowledge from their respective fields.

As part of their campus visit, which coincided with the AU Career Fair 2025, several alumni also participated in CV clinics offering invaluable advice and guidance to students on how to craft the perfect CV.

The launch of the Alumni Voices Leadership Series has been met with great success, and the OAA eagerly anticipates welcoming more alumni back to campus as this series continues to grow.
