Female students from Ajman University College of Mass Communication participated in the 18th edition of the Arab Media Forum held in Kuwait on May 28 – 29, 2023. The theme of the event this year was, “The Future of Media – Media of the Future”.
AU students participated in more than 6 workshops at the Forum, which were focused on nurturing various skills among students including broadcaster skills, content management, script writing, creating attractive content, the basics of podcast presentation, and writing creative content for social media.
The forum also featured panel discussions on social media and its impact on community issues. In addition, students had the opportunity of meeting His Excellency the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Kuwait at the Forum, and discuss their academic journey, practical experiences, and key take-aways from the Forum. Students were also able to meet with Arab media professionals during the workshops and learn from their experiences.
The organizers of the Forum praised the enthusiastic participation of AU students, thanking them for their active presence and interaction at the event.
On the sidelines of the Forum, the students also visited Kuwait Radio and Television building to learn more about and get acquainted with a distinctive media experience. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Information allowed the students to take a tour of the building, while the officials responded to all their questions and queries. Kuwait Radio even hosted the students in more than one radio program, and interviewed them to learn about their opinion of the Arab Media Forum and what they learned from it.
