Research Interests

At the College of Humanities and Sciences, Ajman University, we are dedicated to fostering a vibrant research culture that addresses contemporary challenges and contributes to the advancement of knowledge. Our research interests span several key areas:

  • Sociology: We explore the dynamics of social change in Arab societies, focusing on themes such as social sustainability, the role of artificial intelligence in national performance, and pressing issues within Emirati society. Our research aims to understand the complex interplay between social structures and individual behaviors, ultimately contributing to policy-making and community development.
  • Psychology: Our department investigates various aspects of human behavior, including motivation, student engagement, and ethical practices in AI-supported learning environments. We also focus on cognitive processes, emotional intelligence, and the adaptation of psychological assessments to meet the needs of diverse populations. Our goal is to enhance mental health services and educational outcomes through rigorous research and innovative practices.
  • Sustainability and Environmental Sciences: We conduct research on sustainable energy solutions, climate modeling, waste treatment technologies, and effective water resource management. By integrating scientific inquiry with community needs, we aim to develop strategies that promote environmental stewardship and address global challenges such as climate change and resource depletion.
  • Physics and Nanotechnology: Our research encompasses high-energy particle collisions, magnetic fields, and the applications of nanostructures in developing green technologies. We aim to advance knowledge in these fields, fostering innovation that can lead to practical applications in various industries.
  • Mathematical Modeling: We focus on the dynamics of infectious diseases, solar energy harvesting, and numerical simulations, using mathematical tools to inform decision-making and develop effective strategies for public health and sustainability.
  • Languages and Cultures: We investigate the interplay between language, culture, and identity, examining how linguistic diversity shapes social interactions and cultural expressions. Our research addresses dialogic pedagogy and student-centric teaching, fostering environments where learners actively engage with content and each other. Additionally, we emphasize the teaching and preservation of Arabic, while also addressing broader issues in English, American, and world literature. Through discourse analysis, translation studies, and English language teaching (ELT), we aim to deepen our understanding of linguistic and cultural connections, advancing both academic knowledge and practical language applications.
  • Education : We conduct research on Curriculum Development, Enhancing Teaching and Learning Methods for Greater Quality and Effectiveness in Educational Practices, Utilizing Technology and Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Learning, Educational Studies on Teacher Preparation and the Role of Leadership in Creating a Supportive Environment for Innovation and Creativity, and Research on Educational Administration and Emerging Trends in the Field of Education.

Through interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative research initiatives, we strive to create impactful solutions that benefit our communities and contribute to a more sustainable future. Our commitment to research excellence not only enhances our academic environment but also prepares our students to become informed and engaged global citizens.
