Introductory workshop on the "Masar for Professional Excellence" platform for psychology students
An introductory workshop on the "Masar for Professional Excellence" platform was held for psychology students on Monday, September 16, 2024. It was organized and led by Dr. Ahmad Al Zoubi from the Department of Psychology, with the attendance of the department head, Dr. Rasha Abdulrahman, in collaboration with Masar for Professional Excellence, under the supervision of Mr. Mohamed Ismail and Yousra Za'al.
The workshop began with a speech by Dr. Rasha Abdulrahman, Head of the Psychology Department, which included welcoming the guests and guiding the students on the importance of registering on the platform and participating in the job fairs organized by the university. Mr. Mohamed Ismail, Director of Masar for Professional Excellence, then highlighted the platform's importance as an effective tool to support graduates and students in their journey toward employment and internships. He explained that Masar offers a wide range of opportunities for graduates in various fields, enabling them to search for internships that match their qualifications.
The workshop also emphasized the platform's various features, including free or low-cost workshops aimed at developing skills needed in the labor market. Additionally, Ms. Yousra presented practical applications of the platform, introducing the steps and registration process, and demonstrated how to access available opportunities while answering participants' questions on how to effectively utilize the platform.
The workshop concluded with a reminder of the importance of participating in the annual job fair to be held at Ajman University, where students will have the opportunity to network directly with company representatives, enhancing their chances of securing jobs or internships that align with their interests and skills. All students were encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities to maximize their benefit from the platform and actively participate in the job fair
