Women in the Academia: Examples and Success Stories
In celebration of Women’s Day in the UAE, the Department of Sociology from the College of Humanities and Sciences at Ajman University organized the second scientific meeting titled, ”Women in the Academia: Examples and Success Stories”. The webinar took place on the 8th of March, 2023 and was organized by Prof. Alaa Alrawashdeh, Dr. Saeed Nasef, Dr. Soumaya Abdullatif and Dr. Asma Alarab.
Many prominent speakers took part in the online discussion including: Dr. Ayat Nashwan, Head of the Department of Sociology from the University of Sharjah, Dr. Moza Issa Al Douri, Head of the Department of Social Sciences, from University of Bahrain, Dr. Fatima Fadila Darouch, University of Tipaza, Chairman of the Scientific Council, Institute of Social Sciences, Algeria, and Dr. Lubna Al-Adayleh - Head of the Social Work Department - Al-Balqa Applied University, Jordan.
Students interested in the topic have attended from all the participating speaker’s and organizers’ universities.
