Graduating students from the Department of Psychology for who are graduating in the second semester of the academic year 2022-2023 presented their graduation projects on Monday, May 8th, in the presence of representatives of a group of associations and institutions working in the field of psychology and mental health.
The students’ graduation projects were original and included a variety of topics. Some topics focused on concepts related to university students, such as emotional intelligence and its relationship to decision-making among university students, and also how shyness affects students’ academic achievement, in addition to examining the relationship between anxiety and motivation for academic achievement. Other groups of students dealt with topics that focused on senior citizens, such as research on depression and its relationship to self-esteem among the elderly in the Emirate of Sharjah, and research on the relationship between voluntary work, happiness and mental health among volunteers at the Hamid bin Rashid Charitable Foundation. The judging committee expressed their pride in the high quality and distinction of the projects that were presented.
