Course Description
This course explores the scientific principles for providing care to children, as of their birth until the age of five. This course explores childhood, its definition, its social and psychological characteristics, social education and its impact in terms of developing and fostering the personality of children, the needs of childhood, the reasons behind childhood-related problems, the classification of these problems, the importance of meeting the needs of children, the principles for the professional practice of social specialists in terms of childhood, the aspects of protection, therapy, and development, and the efforts exerted by the Emirati society in terms of protecting children and that, through examples on childcare institutions operating in the United Arab Emirates.
