Contemporary Social Issues
Course Description
This course explores the new social phenomena that are features in the Arab and international societies, as well as the relevance of these phenomena to globalization, namely social globalization. In addition to the aforementioned, this course explores the modern trends pertaining to social development and modernization, the future of civil society in the Arab world, the establishment of the new social order, as well as other cases, such as refugees, internal and external migration, media and society in the contemporary society, and issues related to social control in modern societies.
